Just Another Caravanning & Camping Website?........Not Quite!
So why have we called it
‘Britannia Caravanning and Camping Association’?
…..because I’m a camper and have been for the past 35 years and I believe campers have the right inspirational qualities to succeed in achieving our ambitions.
Whether we camp in Motor Homes, Caravans or Tents we all have one thing in common, the outdoor life and the pleasures that come with it, whether we enjoy walking, cycling, fishing, wildlife, visiting new locations or simply relaxing outside, the countryside and environment are precious to our lifestyle.
Every day we see on television, see with our own eyes and read in the newspapers about the loss of some of our native species of wildlife and fauna and the serious environmental impact that our existing lifestyle has had, and will continue to have on future generations, we need to act now to reverse this trend.
Some of us may feel guilty because during the past we have contributed towards this deterioration, some of us won’t because it’s progression and the whole world has to move forward. Whether you feel guilty or not we have all contributed in some way or other, but hind site, as the old cliché say’s, is a marvellous thing.
To make our environment better for future generations we need as many people actively reversing the trend as we had causing it and we can start in the towns and villages, in the areas that we as campers visit on a regular basis to enjoy our pastime.
I believe we can help these communities to bring about these changes, there are a lot of us enjoying the outdoors, we come from all walks of life and from all over the uk and BCCA value the wealth of experience, knowledge and diversity that the camping community can provide.
Bit depressing so far but there is some good news, BCCA has been formed as a NOT FOR PROFIT Association and will provide funding for local community projects throughout the uk to start the ball rolling in reversing some of these trends, but to do this WE NEED YOUR HELP
What are we asking for?- We are asking the camping community to join our association , your modest annual membership fee and our active commercial programme will enable us, as a community, to succeed in our ambitions.
What do you get in return?- Have a look through the website, there’s plenty of ways to save your membership fee, in fact you can probably save twice that amount and enjoy the community spirit with other members.
Above all, we believe, the most important benefit is the ‘FEEL GOOD FACTOR’ knowing you have contributed and made a difference at local level. We strongly believe that working with and supporting BCCA will be a rewarding experience.
We need volunteer Focus Group Leaders all over the uk… to identify areas of concern, and projects will need supervising, so contact BCCA as soon as possible, the quicker we sign up for membership the quicker we get started and the quicker we start funding local projects.
Kind Regards
Terry Newman
Chairman BCCA
PS: I hope you enjoy the website and seriously consider joining our community, we need your support to succeed.
