Conditions of Funding
BCCA means Britannia Caravanning and Camping Association
- Applications will not be considered from organisations intending to support or oppose any particular political party, or to discriminate on the grounds of race or religion.
- Applications will not be considered from private organisations operated as a business to make a profit or surplus.
- Applications will not be considered from ‘upwards funders’, i.e. Local groups whose fund-raising is sent to their central headquarters for redistribution.
- Applications will not normally be considered from National Organisations or local groups with access to funds from national ‘umbrella’ or ‘parent’ organisations , unless funds are not available from their National bodies, or the funds available are inadequate for a specified project. Under these conditions part funding may be considered.
- Application from religious groups will be considered where a clear benefit to the wider community can be demonstrated irrespective of their religious beliefs. Compliance with this requirement must be demonstrated throughout the project.
- Applications from education, health or social services establishments will be considered where the organisation can demonstrate that it is working in partnership with other groups and where there are benefits to the wider community.
- The applicants must have clearly stated aims and objectives.
- The applicants must provide, or propose to provide, an activity or service that is clearly needed by the community or by a particular group of residents.
- The applicants are required to provide a written constitution that has been formally adopted by the members.
- The applicants are required to submit budgets or accounts that can be independently verified by a suitable qualified person, for the proposed projects.
- In the case of organisations making an application for funding they must submit the previous three years verified accounts that can be independently verified, in the case of a newly formed organisation, a comprehensive budget and business plan.
- The organisation is required to have its own Bank Account with two authorised representatives to sign each cheque.
- On projects that may require stage payments funding can be applied for at any time during the financial year on provision of evidence that the money has been used for the purpose stated. In the case of advance payments written confirmation will be required stating that the money will be used for the purpose requested. A monitoring and evaluation form must be completed for all projects during and at the end of BCCA’s financial year end.
- The decision of BCCA’s funding committee is final and there are no provisions for an appeal.
- BCCA reserves the right to reclaim any monies in the event of it not being used for the purpose specified in the application from the signatories of the application.
- All costs must be verified by the applicants on completion of the project and any access funding must be returned to BCCA.
- BCCA reserve the right to use any project for business use, publicity, marketing and on all printed material.
